Hotels & accommodation (7/10):I stayed at the Blue Zone Hostel. Excellent value at $12 for a single room, right at the beach. If youre looking for some fancy hotels, you wont find it in Santa Catalina. Simple and cheap is the way to go.
Places to eat (7/10):Great seafood, always fresh and tasty. There is also some pizza and burger joints. Not a huge selections of restaurants, but the food is really good, and very affordable.
Beach (9/10):Nice beaches with black sand and big waves. Best surf in america? And still unspoiled.
Shopping (1/10):You don't go to Santa Catalina to shop!
Local culture & people (8/10):Everyone is friendly and very relaxed. A really nice atmosphere. Since its such a small place, with so few tourist you really get to fell real unspoiled panaman culture.
Activites & Attractions (5/10):If youre not into surfing, there isnt to much to do in Santa Catalina. Sunbathing, scuba diving and fishing trips. If youre a surfer youve found paradise.
Nightlife (3/10):Just very calm and relaxed. Not a party place at all. Hanging out in one of the restaurants drinking beer and relaxing in the nice atmosphere is what the nightlife is about in Santa Catalina.
