Hotels & accommodation (6/10):Hotel standard in Caya Caulker seems to be high. Nice and clean, and most hotels have gardens and swimmingpool. For the budget traveller, there seems to be very limited selection of places to stay.
Places to eat (5/10): Amazing sea food. Lobster. Caya Caulker is a little prizy, and dont have the biggest selection of restaurants.
Beach (9/10):Beautiful beaches. Clean white sand, coconut palm threes, clean and warm water. The Beaches in Caya Caulker is world class.
Shopping (2/10):A few gift shops, thats pretty much it. Not the place to fill your shopping bags.
Local culture & people (7/10): The maya culture is strong in Belize. Visiting maya ruins in the rain forest is a real Indiana Jones experience :) All the local people are very friendly and helpful.
Activities & Attractions (5/10):Most of the activities in Caya Caulker are related to the sea. Deep sea fishing, scuba diving (amazingly clear water), Swimming and sunbathing, wind surfing etc. Not that many big attractions, but old maya ruins is one, and the beautiful scenery is an attraction itself.
Nightlife (2/10):A few bars, some with live music, but nightlife is pretty calm. Not a party destination.
Summary:If you're looking for perfect beaches, lovely climate and a relaxing atmosphere Caya Caulker is a perfect holiday destination for you. I'll go back for sure.
