Hotels & accommodation (3/10):Venezia Hotel. It was up a huge hill that took about 20 minutes to walk up, i would not recommend this hotel if you have small children. Taxis cost 5euro to take you to the hotel but if you order one to pick you up from the hotel its 7euro which we had to order almost every night because the hill was to tiring. The pool and snack bar staff were friendly but watch what they are charging because they all charged different prices every time! The old couple inside on the front desk were so rude and nasty to us, especially the old man who was unbearable.
Places to eat (6/10): The hotel food was okay, there was a chinese called golden wok and a restaurant called melrose which we both very nice. Mikes bar was good, the food was nice and the people were very friendly.
Beach (6/10):The beach was clean and the water was nice. There was plenty of activities to do there and it was quite spaceious.
Shopping (4/10):All the shops sell the same things, shop around becuase the prices vary. Good if you like fake designer handbags, overall the shops we not brilliant and there were some quite expensive ones.
Local culture & people (7/10):Every shop worker or bar/restaurant worker were really pleasant and it was nice to be greeted by them. The staff at the venezia hotel were rude and arrogant.
Activites & Attractions (4/10):The water park was rated the best in europe i would say so it was just like any other water park. There was a small fun fair and bowling alley but that was about it.
Nightlife (2/10):Awful! I went in july 08 and the nightlife was dead! every bar u get dragged into had no more than 10 people, the only busy nights were when there was a bar crawl on. Very dissapointing.
Summary:Generally disapointed with my stay at faliraki, it was not at all wat i expected and i will not go there again.
