Hotels & accommodation (6/10):Not that many to choose from (its a small town) but they all seemed very nice. Hotel Klingelhöffer can be recommended, nice little hotel, good rooms, excellent food, good price.
Places to eat (6/10): Theres a few resturants in town, and some very cosy sidewalk cafes. Mostly traditional german food, Bratwurst und sauerkraut (yummy- it really is :).
Beach (N/A):It's not by the sea.
Shopping (3/10):It's just a small town, not the place to go for shopping.
Local culture & people (8/10):Very friendly local people. Its a old town, dating back almost 1000 years, rich on local culture and history (traditional food, bierstube, traditional old buildings etc)
Activities & Attractions (8/10):The historic center of town is beautiful, especially the city hall. The Walpurgiskirche, built in the 13th centurt, is also worth visiting. Bierstube is always fun!
Nightlife (6/10):Theres a few typical german bierstube, which serves cheap beer and ompa-music. Good fun! If you want modern type of nightclub, theres a big disco just outside of downtown Alsfeld.
Summary:Nice little town, rich on history, and with beautiful architechture. I'll really recommend spending a few days in Alseld.
