Hotels & accommodation (8/10):You can find some really cheap bungalows by the sea for only a couple of dollars. There are also a lot of more luxuries hotels popping up at the island. Something for every one, budget, family or luxury traveler.
Places to eat (7/10): Lots of really good thai food, and youll also find desent westernfood. Theres a italian place by the harbour that serves excellent pizza. You can buy a good meal for as little as $2. For fine dining try the hotel resturants.
Beach (8/10):Beautiful white sands all around the island, palm threes and warm waters. Nice!
Shopping (4/10):Not that much to buy in phi phi. Souveniers, and fake fashion clothes, pirate cds/cd-roms etc.
Local culture & people (6/10):Like all over Thailand, the locals are always friendly and smiling, you really feel welcome. Traditional thai culture isnt as strong, as this is a typical beach resort where everything evolves around tourism.
Activites & Attractions (6/10):Great spot for diving or snorkeling, with beautiful fish and coral reefes. Visit the location where the movie "the beach" was filmed. Go see a traditional thai boxing match.
Nightlife (6/10):Calmer than Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, but still lots of good bars and discos.
Summary:Beautiful Island. For chilling out on the beach its perfect.
